Brittany Hore, an Australian personal trainer, has been training regularly since the age of 16.
So, when the 22-year-old discovered she was pregnant for the second time, fitness was a key part of her plan for a healthy pregnancy.
Hore is now over eight months pregnant and still weightlifting three times a week.
Hore, who was once a bodybuilder, works to tone her muscles while keeping her body in prime shape with 30- to 40-minute sessions. Her fit husband, Freddy Arias, and 1-year-old son are supportive of her dedication.
She told the Daily Mail she takes her unborn baby into consideration at every workout, saying,
There’s no harm to the baby as long as its not strenuous on the body… It’s more about watching your breathing and making sure you are not over exerting your body and are keeping a reasonable heart rate.Hore says if she feels ill or tired, she’ll skip the workout that day. She tries to keep her gym time in moderation.
Most pregnancy and fitness publications support exercise into the third trimester, as long as you’re not a high-risk pregnancy.
