The oldest married couple in the world, a 109-year-old man, Karam Chand, and his 102-year-old wife, Kartari recently had a birthday bash together being both born in November.
The party took place in their home in Bradford , West Yorks on Sunday, November 23, 2014, with four generations of their family according to Metro UK reports.
The couple met in India as teenagers before they got married on December 11, 1925, exactly the same year Margaret Thatcher was born and Stanley Baldwin was British prime minister.
So the two lovebirds have been married for 88 years and 349 days, blessed with eight children and are living strong.
Kartari said, ‘We have always eaten good wholesome food, there’s nothing artificial in our diet, things like butter, milk and yoghurt are what we like.
‘We just get along with each other and we are family focused, its simple.’
One of their children Paul, said, ‘People are so impressed by my parents. They always ask me:
“What do you eat? What are you feeding them and how do they stay so healthy?”
‘I tell them: “If I knew that I would be eating the same thing myself”.’
