A 26-year-old woman has directed her 23-year-old boyfriend to kill her 7-year-old son so she would send his remains to his dad as a birthday gift.
Karina Luna Sandoval, who hails from Mexico and her 23-year-old boyfriend, Gonzalo del Rio Hernandez succeeded in snuffing life out of the little boy after the boy’s dad who was her ex-boyfriend left them.
The police learnt that Sandoval said murdering her son was a gift his father will never forget.
She reportedly said, “What’s better than to give the father his dead son. It is something that he will never forget.”
The young boy, Miguel Saul was stabbed to death by his mum’s new boyfriend with an ax after his mum asked him to wait for his dad at the courtyard.
He screamed aloud and attracted the attention of some relatives to the scene who engaged Hernandez in a hot chase and caught him thereafter.
In a confessional statement, Hernandez revealed that Sandoval planned the murder and wanted to make it look like the work of a mystery attacker so they would start a new life without the child.
The boy was rushed to a hospital in Tijuana, Baja California where he is said to be in a critical condition.
Unfortunately, he died after two weeks after the paramedics battled to make him live.
The murderous couple was found guilty in connection with the boy’s death.
Sandoval was sentenced to 42 years in prison while her boyfriend received a sentence of 40 years in prison.
