Queens Park Rangers were left deep in the relegation mire after yet another defeat but Matt Phillipsmay well have scored the goal of the season at Selhurst Park.

Crystal Palace came out on top 3-1 in the Premier League's lunchtime kick-off, but Phillips' second half consolation goal took the headlines.

Phillips’ strike was the goal from the longest distance in the Premier League this season at 40 yards.

He picked the ball up on halfway, strode forward a few yards and unleashed an unstoppable drive into Julian Speroni's top right-hand corner.

Unfortunately for Phillips, first half goals from Wilfried Zaha, James McArthur and Joel Ward for Palace had already ended the game as a contest.

Rangers could be left six points adrift of safety after the weekend's fixtures have been completed.
On its way...
...surely not...
...absolutely yes...
...GOAL!
was this YOUR goal of the season?
