Danny Welbeck became the top scorer in the Euro 2016 qualifying
campaign after netting in England’s clash against Lithuania on Friday.
The Arsenal striker scored the Three Lions’ second goal of the night, following on from Wayne Rooney’s early opener, after he got his head to Jordan Henderson’s cross and bundled the ball over the line with the help of a deflection.
Welbeck’s goal on the stroke of half-time at Wembley was his sixth in five Euro 2016 qualification matches which, according to ITV, is the most for any player in the competition so far.
