Walker passed away in 2013 after a fatal car accident in California. He was the passenger in a Porsche 918 and his business partner Roger Rodas was driver. Rodas was also killed in the accident. Walker’s family, including his daughter and his father, have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Porsche.
This isn’t the first time Vin Diesel has paid tribute to his friend, who he calls his ‘brother.’ At the 2015 MTV Movie Awards, Diesel sang Wiz Khalifa’s ‘See You Again,’ which was featured in the movie Furious 7.
Diesel also posted a short tribute on Facebook, which read: ‘No matter where you are in the universe…You will always be, my brother.’ Diesel and Walker shared a strong friendship, with Walker’s mother reportedly referring to Diesel as her son’s ‘other half.’
Diesel wasn’t the only co-star of Walker’s to make a tribute online, with Tyrese Gibson, who was also in the Fast and Furious movies, posting an emotional tribute to Instagram as well.
