A woman has performed wonders with her latest foodie feat as she swallowed a live scorpion while people clapped. The odd show took place in a restaurant in China.

A waitress received a stunned reaction among diners when she popped a wriggling scorpion into her mouth and swallowed it whole. She used a chopsticks to take the wriggling creature before putting it into her mouth and swallowing it whole.
It is believed she undertook the stomach-churning challenge to encourage those dining in the restaurant to join her in enjoying the local delicacy.
The video, filmed by one of the 'learners' at a restaurant in Beijing, shows the young woman putting a moving scorpion into her month entirely and chewing it with a few bites.
