This is the fastest coconut husker in the world – a man capable of shredding the fruit down to size with his bare teeth in a matter of seconds.

Known as the Buko King, the local legend lives on the island of Bohol in the Philippines and spends his days tearing at the husk of coconuts before extracting the delicious milk filling.

Capable of husking numerous coconuts a day, the Buko King has become a sort of tourist attraction and locals and visitors alike are willing to travel hours to see the bizarre talent for themselves.

Captured on camera is the moment the man turns a huge coconut into a tiny, manageable piece of fruit with a couple of bites.

The clip shows the Buko King addressing the camera before slamming the coconut into his mouth – a loud crack noise can be heard as it ricochets against his teeth.

He then bites into it hard and after latching onto a piece of husk, locks on to it with his jaw and begins tearing it away from the fruit.

The man looks at the camera briefly before upping the pace and biting the coconut a number of times and pulling away the husk in great mouthfuls.

The coconut gets smaller and smaller in his hand and before long all of the fibre has been removed from the outer shell – a lot of it sticks to the man’s shirt.

He then celebrates by holding the husked coconut out in front of him and the crowd of tourists laugh in amazement.

Later in the video a woman attempts to have a go at husking the coconut in the unique way demonstrated by the Buko King only moments earlier.

She holds the fruit to her mouth and takes a modest bite, but appears hesitant to smash it against her mouth like the man before her.

The clip concludes with the man cutting up an already prepared coconut and reaping the benefits of his hard work by eating the milky pulp.
