Between 300 and 350 people stripped off and ran into the surf to raise money for mental health charity, MIND.

Many in hundreds of skinny dippers screamed in excitement as they all took a plunge into the North Sea yesterday.

The charity fund-raisers took part in the event at Druridge Bay, Northumberland, described as the "ultimate ice bucket challenge".
They gathered at 5.30am to see a glorious dawn and then launched themselves into the waves. Most ran as quickly as they could into the surf, while others de-robed from onesies and warm winter woollies to take a stroll on the sands before dipping into the freezing cold waters of the North Sea.
The dippy dippers described it as an 'exhilarating' experience, and are likely to be back for more next year.
