Few days after making history as the first country in the world by transplanting a new penis on a 21-year-old man, South African doctors say they are willing to get penis donors and that they are now able and ready to perform penis transplants in all of South Africa’s hospitals, News24 reports.

The head of the division of plastic and reconstructive surgery at Stellenbosch University, Professor Frank Graewe, who led the successful transplant, said the recipient of the penis transplant was one of several men on the waiting list as they are short of donors and are willing to pay handsomely for anyone who would wish to donate his manhood.

Professor Graewe said:
"It’s now three months later and the patient is recovering very well. He had sex five weeks after the operation.
He gets good quality erections, ejaculates and has frequent sex with his partner. He is in a steady and healthy relationship."

The recipient had his penis
amputated three years ago after a botched circumcision during a traditional initiation ceremony.
