When the going was good: Birdman, Lil-Wayne
Rumours have been swirling around for some time now that all is not well in the Young Money Cash Money Records but until now, there was nothing to proof the claims.
The rumours got even stronger when sometime in December Lil-Wayne twitted:
“I want off this label and nothing to do with these people, but unfortunately it ain't easy”
So what happened? Word out is that Weezy pissed at the label for refusing to release his new album.
Sources say Birdman says he won’t release the album, until certain administrative proceedings take place. He’s even prepared to fight Lil Wayne in court if need be.
As a result, Lil-Wayne is said to have demanded that he be cut loosefrom the label, however Birdman says there’s no chance of that happening because a contract is a contract.

Things turned cold, and now, Lil Wayne has released a mixtape with tracks that take direct jabs at his former mentor Birdman and Cash Money Records.

Wayne is said to have dropped "Sorry 4 The Wait 2" -- a clear reference to his long delayed "Carter V" album -- and goes right in on Birdman with a song called,"Coco."

In the song Weezy raps:
"Who kept this s**t this together? N***a, me, that's who!
Who was there when n***as left? N***a, me that's who!"
Cash Money is an army, I'm a one man army!"
He also raps about going out like Tony Montana in "Scarface."
At the moment, there are internet rumblings that Wayne is planning a move over to Master P's No Limit records.
Wonder how this will affect Nicki Minaj and other artists Weezy brought to the YMCMB Records.
Time I guess, will tell.
