It’s widely advised not to get married until experiencing all the single life has to offer.
Australia’s Gwyneth Montenegro has slept with 10,091 men, and is finally ready for Mr. Right.
The
36-year-old was paid $500 to $1,000 an hour to sleep with powerful
men of various fields during her 12 years as an escort, spending tens of
thousands on drugs, clothes and cars.
She left the industry three years ago to accomplish her dreams of flying commercial planes and practicing linguistics.
Montenegro
also wrote a book published earlier this year called “10,000 Men and
Counting,” and publicizing her sexual exploits earned her 80 marriage
proposals.
It was the overall reaction to her book, she says, that
made her realize she was ready to settle down. And she believes her
previous line of work has taught her everything she needs to know about
being the perfect wife.
She told the Daily Mail,
Clients
would confide in me about the good and bad parts of their relationship.
I feel I have a deeper understanding of men than ever before.
The Melbourne resident has never been in love and has only been in two relationships, both of which lasted about a year.
Some
of her colleagues dated and even got married while working in the
escort business, but she didn’t see how this could be done.
She said,
I
found it easier to avoid relationships during my time in the industry.
The two just don’t mix. I tried it once, it was an utter disaster.
Now
she knows exactly what she wants and believes it can be obtained
organically by expressing positive energy as online dating efforts have
proven unsuccessful.
She said,
I can be a
handful, I am headstrong and determined. I like a man who is calmly
confident, in charge, but not bombastically so. I’ve spent a lifetime
looking after my body and I respect that in any potential partner. He
certainly doesn’t have to be a model or a muscle bound fireman, I’d give
preference to a fun personality any day.
Her traditional upbringing and “girl next door” demeanor make her very appealing, she says.
Montenegro was raised by two very religious parents who have been married for 33 years and strongly support her.
She said,
I’m fairly introverted and conservative. I’m the last person my friends ever expected to have lived that kind of life.
Her book also got the attention of a well-known producer, who may be in the process of making a movie out of her adventures.
She said of the producer,
I can’t say at the moment but everyone would know who she is — it is most likely going to happen.
It shouldn’t be longer than two months before the film is expected to be given the green light.
