Elizabeth Lauten, the Republican Congress staff who called Malia and Sasha Obama ‘classless’ on a Facebook outrage has resigned. Lauten wrote a diatribe on Thanksgiving, slamming the casual dress worn by President Obama’s teenage daughters, Michelle, 16, and Malia, 13.
Although she later deleted the post and apologized for her outrageous comments, Lauten finally tendered her resignation as communications director today after thousands called for her sack on social media.
