Yacine Brahimi has emerged the BBC African Footballer of the Year 2014. The Algerian midfielder beats Nigerian Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Eyeama and other top contenders including 6th 6th time nominee and current title holder Yaya Toure. The 24 year old becomes the first Algerian to win the award.
