Meet, Nina Pham, 26, a graduated from Texas Christian University’s nursing program in 2010. She contracted the deadly Ebola virus disease (EVD) after caring for Thomas Eric Duncan.
Although details of how she caught the virus are unknown at the moment.
CNN has disclosed the identity of the nurse as 26- year-old Vietnamese-American, Nina Pham. US health authorities are still investigating and trying to figure out how she became infected, as she reportedly took all the necessary safety precautions while treating Duncan, including wearing a mask, gown, shield and gloves.
“Something went wrong, and we need to find out why and what,” said Anthony Fauci, director of the
National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
