Guess the deadly Lassa fever is not prevalent in their area. A Spanish fiesta which involves rival gangs throwing rats at one another has been slammed and labelled as 'immoral' and 'disgusting' by an animal charity. The campaign group Partido Animalista Contra el Maltrato Animal en España (PACMA) has released a footage of the festival in the Valencian town of El Puig and has called for the festival to be banned once and for all.
The footage of the 'Battle of the Rats' shows onlookers smiling and cheering as the creatures are hurled by their tails, using tremendous force and over long distances.
