Mariah Carey has found solace post-split in the arms of longtime
friend, director Brett Ratner, after splitting from her husband of six

tell the Post that Carey who has been “living apart” from Cannon for
months, has been seeking advice from her good friend Ratner and "the two
speak frequently".
Longtime friends, Ratner directed a number of
Carey’s music videos from her earlier albums, including “Heartbreaker”
and “We Belong Together,” and have been close friends since.
Carey
posted photos of Ratner on holiday in Aspen with her in December, and
in July, Carey went with Ratner to the premiere of “Hercules,” which he

“rehearsing for her Asian tour.” Ratner’s rep did not return calls to
the Post, the paper reports.
Earlier this month, Cannon took to Twitter to say he will always love Mariah. In a series of 19 tweets, the America's Got Talent host ranted about false rumours whilst defending his family and his love for his estranged wife.
